- VHAS
- The Village Handicraft Artisan Society (VHAS) is a voluntary organization which has been working for promotion of handicraft and fashion jewelry. The organization was established by the artisans of Saraitareen (hub of production of handicraft and fashion Jewelry made by Horn & bone, Wood, Shell, Mattel, Brass, Bamboo, Coconuts in Uttar Pradesh state of India) in 2007. Today there are 200 artisans associated with VHAS. Organization has been committed for bringing positive change in the lives of 200 artisans who are directly associated with the organization and their 500 family members as well. The organization has been working for promotion and protection of rights of the artisans in terms of associating them with the opportunities for work and better payment for their hard work.
